Biscoff Oak Herringbone 12mm Laminate

Biscoff Oak Herringbone brings a warm, caramel-leaning oak effect to a classic parquet pattern. It is part of our Flair laminate range, with 101mm blocks, a 12mm build and a click fit that makes herringbone far easier to lay than solid parquet.

Look and character

The colour sits in the medium range with a natural oak character: warm, slightly toasted and easy on the eye. Set in a zigzag, the grain changes direction from block to block, so the floor catches the light differently as you move through the room. The embossed and textured finish adds tactile grain, and the bevelled edges pick out every block so the pattern stays crisp. It sits happily with cream and off-white walls, brass or bronze fittings and warm wood furniture, and gives a period-style parquet look without the upkeep of real wood.

Construction and specification

The 12mm build has real body to it, so the floor feels steady when you walk across it and sounds less hollow once laid over a good underlay. A 4V bevel runs along all four edges of every block, giving each one a defined outline, as a wooden floor would have. Packs cover 1.836 m² each, so round up to the next full pack. It carries an AC4 abrasion rating, which covers busy homes and light commercial spaces, so daily footfall, chair legs and kids are well within its range. At 101mm by 606mm, the blocks are proportioned like traditional parquet.

Where it works

Suitable rooms include kitchens, living rooms, conservatories, bedrooms, hallways and bathrooms. Fit felt pads to chair and table legs to protect the surface. It can also be used on stairs with suitable stair nosing to finish each step safely. Browse more herringbone laminate flooring if you want to weigh up lighter and darker options.

Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is click and floating, which means the blocks join edge to edge and rest on an underlay instead of being stuck down. Lay it over a suitable flooring underlay, which smooths out small bumps and softens footfall noise. Allow around 10% extra for cuts and waste; a herringbone layout creates more offcuts at the edges of the room. It is suitable for underfloor heating; see our underfloor heating flooring for other options.
