Haze Oak 12mm Laminate

Haze Oak in a straight plank is a rustic-toned, medium brown laminate with natural-looking knots, markings and streaks. The 196mm boards give a warm, relaxed floor with plenty of character.

Look and character

The colour is a mid-brown oak, and the rustic detail is what gives it life: small knots, darker streaks and changes in grain from board to board. This variation keeps the floor looking natural and helps it forgive everyday wear. The textured and embossed finish adds a grain you can feel, and the bevelled edges give each board a clear outline. It suits cottage-style and farmhouse kitchens, family rooms and hallways, with cream or soft green walls and warm wood furniture.

Construction and specification

A 12mm thickness means more substance than an entry-level laminate: the planks feel solid underfoot and bridge small dips in the subfloor better. Each plank is 196mm wide and 1215mm long, a classic proportion that reads as a traditional boarded floor. Each pack covers 1.43 m² of floor. The 4V bevel on every edge makes each plank stand out slightly from its neighbours, which adds realism. It carries an AC4 abrasion rating, which covers busy homes and light commercial spaces, so daily footfall, chair legs and kids are well within its range.

Where it works

It is a good fit for dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, living rooms, conservatories, kitchens and bathrooms. Put a good doormat at the front door to catch grit, which is the main thing that dulls any floor over time. It can also be used on stairs with suitable stair nosing to finish each step safely. Fitting and underfloor heating

Fitting uses a click system, with the finished floor laid floating over an underlay. Lay it over a suitable flooring underlay, which smooths out small bumps and softens footfall noise. Add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste. It is suitable for underfloor heating. Finish the edges of the room with scotia beading to cover the expansion gap.
