Natural Medium Oak 12mm Laminate

Natural Medium Oak is a warm, classic oak colour from our Home Classic laminate range. It is a straightforward, natural-looking floor that brings the familiar look of oak into any room on a 12mm plank.

Look and character

The colour is a natural medium oak with warm honey undertones and a clear, flowing grain. It is the shade most people picture when they think of an oak floor, and it goes with almost everything. The textured and embossed surface adds a grain you can feel, and the 4V bevel frames each 195mm plank. It works in traditional homes with cream walls and patterned rugs, and equally in modern rooms with white walls, black details and green plants.

Construction and specification

With a 12mm core, the floor has a sturdy, grounded feel that suits busy family rooms. Packs cover 1.51 m² each, so round up to the next full pack. The 4V bevel on every edge makes each plank stand out slightly from its neighbours, which adds realism. Each plank is 195mm wide and 1288mm long, a classic proportion that reads as a traditional boarded floor. The AC4 rating means the surface is tested for heavy domestic traffic and general commercial use, so it copes well with hallways and family rooms.

Where it works

This floor suits conservatories, hallways, living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens. Fit felt pads to chair and table legs to protect the surface. It can also be used on stairs with suitable stair nosing to finish each step safely. For more colours in a straight board, see our plank laminate range.

Fitting and underfloor heating

It is a click-fit laminate laid floating: the planks lock to each other rather than being fixed to the subfloor below. Lay it over a suitable flooring underlay, which smooths out small bumps and softens footfall noise. Allow roughly 10% extra on top of the floor area for cuts and waste.
