Light Brown Oak 12mm Laminate

Light Brown Oak is a bright, rustic-toned laminate plank with a soft brown colour and natural-looking knots, markings and streaks. The 196mm boards give a warm but open feel to everyday rooms.

Look and character

The colour is a light brown oak, a touch warmer than a pale natural shade, with rustic detail running through the planks. Knots and streaks vary from board to board, so the floor looks natural rather than printed, and the variation helps hide dust and small marks. The textured and embossed surface gives each plank a gentle grain underfoot, and the bevels define every edge. It works well with white and cream walls, sage green, blue-grey and terracotta accents, and oak or painted furniture.

Construction and specification

With a 12mm core, the floor has a sturdy, grounded feel that suits busy family rooms. An AC4 wear rating tells you the surface is made for high-traffic domestic areas as well as general commercial use. One pack covers 1.43 m². The 4V bevel on every edge makes each plank stand out slightly from its neighbours, which adds realism. The planks measure 196mm by 1215mm, long enough to run cleanly through a room with few joints.

Where it works

You can lay it in kitchens, dining rooms, hallways, bedrooms, conservatories, living rooms and bathrooms. In a kitchen, wipe up spills and standing water promptly, as you would with any laminate. Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is click and floating, which means the planks join edge to edge and rest on an underlay instead of being stuck down. Choose the right underlay for laminate for your subfloor; it evens out minor bumps and cuts down noise. Allow roughly 10% extra on top of the floor area for cuts and waste. It is suitable for underfloor heating. Finish the edges of the room with scotia beading to cover the expansion gap.
