Caribbean Oak 12mm Laminate

Caribbean Oak is a warm, medium oak effect from our Home Classic laminate range. The 195mm planks give an easy, inviting floor that brings a natural oak look into everyday rooms.

Look and character

The planks show a medium brown oak colour with warm undertones and a clear, natural grain. It is a colour that hides everyday dust and marks better than very pale or very dark floors, which helps in busy family homes. The textured and embossed finish adds a timber feel underfoot, and the 4V bevel frames every board. It pairs well with off-white and warm neutral walls, and suits both country-style kitchens and modern living rooms with darker sofas or green plants.

Construction and specification

At 12mm, these planks sit at the thicker end of laminate, which gives a firmer and quieter feel underfoot than slimmer boards. Plank size is 195mm wide by 1288mm long, which keeps the layout calm and uncluttered. It carries an AC4 abrasion rating, which covers busy homes and light commercial spaces, so daily footfall, chair legs and kids are well within its range. A 4V bevel runs along all four edges of every plank, giving each one a defined outline, as a wooden floor would have. Each pack covers 1.51 m² of floor.

Where it works

Suitable rooms include living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, conservatories, bedrooms, hallways and bathrooms. Felt pads under dining chairs help keep the surface looking fresh. Fitting and underfloor heating

Fitting uses a click system, with the finished floor laid floating over an underlay. Choose the right underlay for laminate for your subfloor; it evens out minor bumps and cuts down noise.
