Toasted Oak 12mm Laminate

Toasted Oak in a straight plank is a rich, dark brown laminate from our Flair range. Deep, toasted tones and realistic grain give the 198mm boards a warm, classic character.

Look and character

The colour is a darker brown with toasted warmth, deeper than a natural oak but still warm rather than cold or black. The realistic grain adds depth along each plank, and the textured and embossed surface gives it a natural feel underfoot. Bevelled edges outline each board for a traditional boarded look. It suits period homes, dining rooms and snugs, and pairs well with cream or white walls, rich reds and greens, and brass or copper fittings.

Construction and specification

Being 12mm thick, each plank gives a reassuring, solid step and a calmer sound underfoot compared with thinner laminate. The 4V bevel on every edge makes each plank stand out slightly from its neighbours, which adds realism. One pack covers 1.929 m². The AC4 rating means the surface is tested for heavy domestic traffic and general commercial use, so it copes well with hallways and family rooms. The planks measure 198mm by 1218mm, long enough to run cleanly through a room with few joints.

Where it works

Suitable rooms include living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, hallways, conservatories, bedrooms and bathrooms. In a kitchen, wipe up spills and standing water promptly, as you would with any laminate. It can also be used on stairs with suitable stair nosing to finish each step safely. Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is click and floating, which means the planks join edge to edge and rest on an underlay instead of being stuck down. Choose the right underlay for laminate for your subfloor; it evens out minor bumps and cuts down noise. Allow roughly 10% extra on top of the floor area for cuts and waste.
