Wafer Oak 12mm Laminate

Wafer Oak is a light, soft neutral laminate plank from our Flair range. Gentle beige tones and a realistic grain give a bright, welcoming floor on a 198mm wide, 12mm board.

Look and character

The colour is a light beige oak with soft, neutral tones and subtle warmth. It keeps a room light without feeling stark, and works as a quiet backdrop for furniture and colour. The realistic grain adds interest, and the textured and embossed surface gives it a natural feel underfoot. Bevelled edges outline each plank. It pairs well with white and cream walls, light woods, linen and wool, and soft pastel or earthy accents.

Construction and specification

At 12mm, these planks sit at the thicker end of laminate, which gives a firmer and quieter feel underfoot than slimmer boards. With an AC4 rating, the wear layer is rated for the busiest rooms in a home and for general commercial footfall. With planks of 198mm by 1218mm, the floor has a familiar, well-balanced board size. Each pack covers 1.929 m² of floor. A 4V bevel runs along all four edges of every plank, giving each one a defined outline, as a wooden floor would have.

Where it works

It is a good fit for conservatories, hallways, dining rooms, bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. Felt pads under dining chairs help keep the surface looking fresh. Fitting and underfloor heating

The planks click together and are laid as a floating floor, so nothing is fixed down to the subfloor. Lay it over a suitable flooring underlay, which smooths out small bumps and softens footfall noise. Allow roughly 10% extra on top of the floor area for cuts and waste.
