Arctic Silver Oak Herringbone Click LVT

Arctic Silver Oak is a cool, silvery take on herringbone, printed on 135mm Icona click vinyl blocks. It pairs a light white-and-grey colouring with fine wood grain, giving a modern parquet floor that copes with spills and busy family life.

Look and character

The blocks sit between white and pale grey, with a silver cast that looks sharp next to white walls, black metal and polished stone. Grain detail is subtle, so the herringbone pattern does most of the work and the floor never looks cluttered. The embossed surface is textured in line with the printed grain, which is what makes the effect convincing up close. A 4V bevel on every block adds a thin shadow line that picks out the zigzag, even in such a light colour.

Construction and specification

Arctic Silver Oak is 6.5mm thick overall, with a 0.5mm wear layer on top. The wear layer is the clear, protective film over the printed design, and it is the part that takes the scuffs from shoes, chair legs and everyday life. Each block measures 135mm by 540mm, and a pack covers 1.166 m². The Icona Herringbone range is rated for domestic and commercial use, so it is built to handle busy family homes as well as shops and offices.

Where it works

Kitchens and bathrooms are where waterproof vinyl earns its keep, and Arctic Silver Oak is at home in both. It also suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways and conservatories, where the textured surface is comfortable underfoot. For stairs, fit stair nosing to protect and finish each step edge. See the rest of our herringbone click LVT floors for other colours.

Fitting and underfloor heating

The blocks join with a click-lock profile, so there is nothing to mix or wait for, and the room can be back in use soon after fitting. Herringbone needs a little more planning than straight planks, so set out a straight guide line and dry-lay a few rows first. It is suitable for underfloor heating. Ask us which flooring underlay, if any, is right for your subfloor before you order. Remember to allow roughly 10% extra for cutting and waste.
