Feather Grey Oak 12mm Laminate

Feather Grey Oak is a light, soft grey laminate from our Home Classic range, with a sleek, modern look. The 195mm wide planks give a calm, contemporary floor on a sturdy 12mm board.

Look and character

As the name suggests, the colour is a light, gentle grey rather than a strong or steely one, with oak grain running softly through it. It keeps rooms bright and airy and works well where you want a modern feel without the starkness of white. The textured and embossed surface adds grain you can feel, and bevelled edges outline every plank. It pairs well with white and dove grey walls, pale woods, chrome or black fittings, and soft pastel or blue accents.

Construction and specification

A 12mm thickness means more substance than an entry-level laminate: the planks feel solid underfoot and bridge small dips in the subfloor better. It carries an AC4 abrasion rating, which covers busy homes and light commercial spaces, so daily footfall, chair legs and kids are well within its range. With planks of 195mm by 1288mm, the floor has a familiar, well-balanced board size. One pack covers 1.51 m². The 4V bevel on every edge makes each plank stand out slightly from its neighbours, which adds realism.

Where it works

Use it in kitchens, dining rooms, living rooms, conservatories, bedrooms, hallways and bathrooms. Fit felt pads to chair and table legs to protect the surface. It can also be used on stairs with suitable stair nosing to finish each step safely. Compare other shades in our plank laminate flooring collection.

Fitting and underfloor heating

It is a click-fit laminate laid floating: the planks lock to each other rather than being fixed to the subfloor below. Choose the right underlay for laminate for your subfloor; it evens out minor bumps and cuts down noise. Remember to add around 10% to the measured area to cover cuts and waste. It is suitable for underfloor heating; see our underfloor heating flooring for other options.
