Smoky Brushed Oak 90mm Engineered Herringbone

Smoky Brushed Oak is a dark herringbone with a rich, smoky hue and a brushed texture you can feel. Its 90mm engineered blocks have a 3mm real oak top layer on a 14mm base.

Look and character

The tone is dark, with smoky, natural oak colours that bring depth and warmth. The surface is brushed to raise the grain, then UV oiled for a natural, low-sheen look. Classic grade oak adds some knots and variation. It creates a cosy atmosphere in living rooms and bedrooms, and pairs well with warm lighting and natural fabrics.

Construction and specification

At 90mm wide and 450mm long, the blocks sit in the middle of the herringbone range: detailed enough to look like parquet, broad enough to show the grain. The 4V bevelled edges give each block a fine shadow line on all four sides. In 14/3mm terms, 14mm is how thick the whole block is and 3mm is the depth of real oak on its face. The 3mm layer is a common, practical depth for engineered oak, and a fitter can usually give it a light sand in the future. A multi-ply base gives a more stable floor than solid oak of the same look, and that matters in a pattern where every joint is on show. Packs cover 1.944 m² each.

Where it works

It is suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens and conservatories, and it can be used on stairs too. For a staircase, pair it with our stair nosing for a neat edge on every tread. Fitting and underfloor heating

It has tongue and groove joints and can be laid floating over an underlay or glued down to a prepared subfloor. Our flooring underlay range covers floating installations.
