Pale Invisible Oak 90mm Engineered Herringbone, 14/3mm

Choose Pale Invisible Oak in the 90mm block for a light, contemporary herringbone that brightens a room. The engineered blocks are 14mm thick, with a 3mm real oak top layer.

Look and character

The tone is light and natural, the colour of bare oak before any oil or stain. An invisible matt lacquer keeps it that way, with minimal sheen, while protecting the surface from everyday wear. Classic grade means some knots and gentle variation. In the mid-size block, the zigzag is detailed but not busy, a good fit for hallways, bedrooms and modern kitchens.

Construction and specification

Each block is 14mm thick overall, with a 3mm real oak top layer bonded to a multi-ply base. Cross-laid layers resist the swelling and shrinking that solid wood is prone to, which helps the joints stay tight. 3mm of real oak gives you the grain and feel of timber, with scope for a careful professional sand later on. A 90mm width with a 450mm length gives a balanced zigzag, less busy than small-block parquet and less bold than the wide formats. A 4V bevel puts a small chamfer on all four edges, so every block is outlined and the pattern reads crisply. Packs cover 1.944 m² each.

Where it works

Laid lengthways down a hallway, a herringbone draws the eye through the space. Use it through the main living spaces, bedrooms, the hallway, kitchen and conservatory, and on stairs. In a kitchen, mop up spills promptly, as real oak is not waterproof. For a staircase, pair it with our stair nosing for a neat edge on every tread. Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is tongue and groove, and your fitter can choose a floating or glue-down method. Our flooring underlay range covers floating installations.
