Pearl Oak 12mm Laminate

Pearl Oak in a straight plank is a pale, white-toned laminate from our Cambridge range. The 188mm boards give a clean, light floor that suits bright, modern homes.

Look and character

The planks carry a soft white oak colour with a gentle grain, a little softer and warmer than a stark white. The effect is fresh and light, and helps rooms with less daylight feel brighter. The textured and embossed finish adds grain underfoot, and the 4V bevels give each board a clear outline so the floor reads as individual planks. It pairs well with white kitchens, pale grey or greige walls, light oak furniture and brushed steel or brass.

Construction and specification

A 12mm thickness means more substance than an entry-level laminate: the planks feel solid underfoot and bridge small dips in the subfloor better. All four edges carry a small 4V bevel, which outlines each plank and adds depth to the floor. It carries an AC5 abrasion rating. In plain terms, the surface is tested for heavy wear, so it is well suited to hallways, kitchens and homes with children and pets. The planks measure 188mm by 1195mm, long enough to run cleanly through a room with few joints. Packs cover 1.35 m² each, so round up to the next full pack.

Where it works

Use it in hallways, living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, conservatories, kitchens and bathrooms. For kitchens, a quick wipe after spills keeps the joints in good order. Fitting and underfloor heating

The planks click together and are laid as a floating floor, so nothing is fixed down to the subfloor. A good laminate underlay goes underneath to level small imperfections and quieten the floor.
