Porcini Oak 12mm Laminate

Porcini Oak is a light grey laminate from our Cambridge range. It gives a soft, earthy take on a grey floor, with oak grain on a hard-wearing 12mm, AC5 plank.

Look and character

The colour is a light grey with a natural oak grain, a softer, more organic grey than a cool steely one. It keeps rooms light while adding a subtle, calm tone underfoot. The textured and embossed surface adds grain you can feel, and the bevels mark each board. It looks good with white and stone walls, mushroom and taupe fabrics, light wood and black details, and suits both modern kitchens and relaxed living rooms.

Construction and specification

A 12mm thickness means more substance than an entry-level laminate: the planks feel solid underfoot and bridge small dips in the subfloor better. AC5 is the highest wear class you will usually see on laminate, rated for heavy commercial traffic, which gives plenty of headroom in a busy home. Each pack covers 1.35 m² of floor. Each plank is 188mm wide and 1195mm long, a classic proportion that reads as a traditional boarded floor. The 4V bevel on every edge makes each plank stand out slightly from its neighbours, which adds realism.

Where it works

This floor suits dining rooms, hallways, kitchens, bedrooms, conservatories, living rooms and bathrooms. In hallways, a doormat at the entrance catches grit before it reaches the floor. Fitting and underfloor heating

It is a click-fit laminate laid floating: the planks lock to each other rather than being fixed to the subfloor below. Choose the right underlay for laminate for your subfloor; it evens out minor bumps and cuts down noise. Add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste.
