Madrid Oak Herringbone Glue Down LVT

Madrid Oak Herringbone is a warm, mid-brown parquet floor in waterproof vinyl, with small blocks glued directly to the subfloor. It brings a traditional pattern to any room in the house.

Look and character

The warm brown tone gives the pattern a classic, established feel, the kind of herringbone you might expect in a Victorian hallway or a traditional dining room. Grain detail on every block keeps the zigzag lively, and the embossed texture helps the vinyl look and feel less like a smooth printed surface. It sits well with white or cream walls, wooden furniture and darker accent colours.

Construction and specification

Blocks are 95mm wide and 380mm long, a compact parquet size that gives a detailed herringbone. A 2.5mm build keeps the finished floor low, so it rarely means trimming doors or raising thresholds. The 0.55mm wear layer is the working surface of the floor: the part that meets feet, furniture and the mop. It is rated for domestic and commercial use, so it can handle busy family life as well as commercial spaces. One pack covers 2.6 m².

Where it works

Herringbone looks particularly good in hallways, where the pattern leads you through the house. Good places for it include hallways, kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms, as well as bedrooms, bathrooms and conservatories. Fitting and underfloor heating

Every block is glued to the subfloor, which gives a firm, stable floor that stays put. Allow about 10% extra for cuts and waste, as the herringbone needs careful set-out and edge cuts. Most fitters prepare the floor with a smoothing compound first, because glue-down vinyl follows the surface it is stuck to. We recommend an experienced floor fitter for glue-down vinyl.
