Castile Oak Glue Down LVT

For a deeper, richer floor, Castile Oak is a dark brown oak-effect plank in our Bond glue-down LVT range. It gives a room weight and contrast, while the waterproof vinyl surface keeps it practical in busy homes.

Look and character

This is a deep brown that sets off pale walls, white kitchens and light upholstery. The wood-effect grain stays visible through the colour, so the floor keeps texture and movement rather than reading as a flat dark block, and the embossed finish adds to that effect. Dark floors show dust and pet hair more readily than mid tones, so it suits people who like a strong, grounded look and don't mind a quick sweep.

Construction and specification

At 187mm wide and 1227mm long, the planks are narrow enough to look traditional and long enough to keep end joins to a minimum. A 2.5mm build keeps the finished floor low, so it rarely means trimming doors or raising thresholds. A 0.55mm clear wear layer shields the design underneath from everyday traffic. Rated for homes and commercial spaces alike, it is made for regular foot traffic. One pack covers 3.671 m².

Where it works

Good places for it include hallways, kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms, as well as bedrooms, bathrooms and conservatories. Fitting and underfloor heating

This floor is fitted glue down: each plank is bonded to the subfloor with a suitable flooring adhesive. Add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste. Before fitting, the subfloor should be smoothed and levelled so no lumps or joints show through. Finish the room edges with skirting or beading for a tidy result.
