Madrid Oak Glue Down LVT

With warm, natural brown tones, Madrid Oak is a Bond glue-down LVT plank that suits traditional and modern rooms equally well. The waterproof surface makes it easy to live with, and it is suitable for underfloor heating.

Look and character

The colour is a balanced medium brown, a classic wood shade that sits comfortably with most furniture and wall colours. Its grain print gives the planks natural variation along their length, and the embossed finish adds a subtle tactile surface. Nothing about it is extreme, which is its strength: it is a steady, versatile oak look that can run through several rooms without clashing.

Construction and specification

At 187mm wide and 1227mm long, the planks are narrow enough to look traditional and long enough to keep end joins to a minimum. One pack covers 3.671 m². A 2.5mm build keeps the finished floor low, so it rarely means trimming doors or raising thresholds. The 0.55mm wear layer is the working surface of the floor: the part that meets feet, furniture and the mop. The durability rating covers both domestic and commercial settings.

Good places for it include hallways, kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms, as well as bedrooms, bathrooms and conservatories. Fitting and underfloor heating

It is a glue-down product, so the planks are fixed in place with adhesive rather than laid loose. The subfloor needs to be smooth, level and dry first, as a thin vinyl will show any bumps beneath it; a levelling compound or ply overlay is usual.
