Salamanca Oak Glue Down LVT

Salamanca Oak is a natural mid-oak shade in plank form, part of the Bond glue-down LVT range. It aims for the look of an everyday oak floor, with a waterproof surface and suitability for underfloor heating.

Look and character

This is the colour most people picture when they think of oak: a mid, natural tone that is neither pale nor dark. The grain print adds warmth and character along each plank, and the embossed finish lets you feel a light texture underfoot. Because the tone is so familiar, it works with pine, oak or painted furniture and with most wall colours, which makes it a safe choice for running through a whole ground floor.

Construction and specification

Each plank measures 187mm by 1227mm, a slim, traditional plank size that suits most rooms. A 2.5mm build keeps the finished floor low, so it rarely means trimming doors or raising thresholds. On top sits a 0.55mm wear layer, the clear protective surface that takes the scuffs of shoes, chair legs and daily cleaning and protects the printed design below. Rated for homes and commercial spaces alike, it is made for regular foot traffic. One pack covers 3.671 m².

Where it works

Straight planks are simple to lay out and suit open-plan spaces where one floor links several areas. Good places for it include hallways, kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms, as well as bedrooms, bathrooms and conservatories. As a waterproof floor, it handles spills, wet boots and bathroom splashes that a wood floor would not like. See our full range of glue-down LVT flooring to compare colours.

Fitting and underfloor heating

Installation is glue down only, with the planks stuck directly to a prepared subfloor. Good preparation matters: a flat, clean, dry subfloor gives the best result, as the thin vinyl follows whatever is underneath. Allow about 10% extra for cuts and waste when you order. It can be used with underfloor heating, and you can compare other floors for underfloor heating too.
