Yes. Luxury vinyl tiles and planks are made from vinyl layers, so the boards themselves are not damaged by water. That makes them a good choice for bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms. Seal the edges with a suitable sealant in bathrooms and wipe up standing water, so it cannot get beneath the floor.

Glued planks are thinner, very stable and quiet underfoot. They can run through large open spaces and doorways without expansion strips, and they will not flex or creak. The trade-off is a more demanding subfloor preparation, which is why glue-down is usually a professional job.

It depends mainly on the wear layer and how the floor is used. Our glue-down planks have wear layers from 0.5mm to 0.7mm, which are designed for busy homes and light commercial areas. Regular sweeping to remove grit and the right cleaner help it last.

It is possible, but most people use a professional. The subfloor has to be levelled to a very high standard, the adhesive must be applied with the right trowel and open time, and the planks must be rolled in. Mistakes in preparation show through the thin vinyl.
