Salamanca Oak Herringbone Glue Down LVT

Salamanca Oak Herringbone lays warm, brown oak-effect blocks in a traditional pattern, giving a parquet look in waterproof vinyl. The blocks are 95mm wide, glued down, and suitable for underfloor heating.

Look and character

Its warm brown colour gives the herringbone a traditional, homely feel. The pattern brings movement to the floor, and the grain on each block adds depth, so it holds its own in larger rooms as well as hallways. The embossed surface adds a subtle texture that keeps it from looking flat. Pair it with white skirting and simple furniture if you want the pattern to be the main feature.

Construction and specification

Each block measures 95 x 380mm; the small size creates a tight, traditional pattern. A 2.5mm build keeps the finished floor low, so it rarely means trimming doors or raising thresholds. The 0.55mm wear layer is the working surface of the floor: the part that meets feet, furniture and the mop. It is rated for domestic and commercial use, so it can handle busy family life as well as commercial spaces. One pack covers 2.6 m².

Where it works

You can use it through most of the house: living and dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, bathrooms and conservatories. Herringbone looks particularly good in hallways, where the pattern leads you through the house. Being waterproof, it copes with the splashes of a family bathroom and the spills of a busy kitchen. Fitting and underfloor heating

It is a glue-down product, so the blocks are fixed in place with adhesive rather than laid loose. Before fitting, the subfloor should be smoothed and levelled so no lumps or joints show through. Patterned floors take more cutting at the edges, so add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste. It can be used with underfloor heating, and you can compare other floors for underfloor heating too.
