Antique Natural Oak is a characterful mid-brown engineered plank from our Nevada range. It pairs a Rustic grade oak face with a plain oiled finish, so knots and colour changes are on show across its 190mm boards.
Think of oak as it looks after a few decades indoors: a warm natural colour deepened slightly towards brown, without heavy staining. Rustic grade means the boards carry plenty of knots and grain movement, and no two planks match. The oiled finish soaks into the timber rather than sitting on top, leaving a matt surface that feels like wood under your hand. It suits farmhouse kitchens, country living rooms and any space where you want the floor to look natural and a little rugged rather than polished.
A 14/3mm build means 14mm in total, with 3mm of real oak forming the surface you walk on. Beneath it sits a multi-ply base of cross-laid layers, which resists the swelling and shrinking that solid boards can suffer as heating and humidity change. Oil nourishes the timber from within and keeps a natural, matt feel; it benefits from a maintenance oil now and then. Boards are 1900mm long and 190mm wide, with 2.888 m² in every pack. All four edges carry a 4V bevel, which gives each plank a crisp outline across the room.
Use it through the main rooms of the house: living room, dining room, hallway and bedrooms, plus kitchens and conservatories. For stairs, pair it with stair nosing so each step has a clean, safe edge.
Fitting is tongue and groove, either as a floating floor over a good underlay or fully glued to the subfloor. It is suitable for underfloor heating; see our underfloor heating flooring for other options. If you float it, pick an underlay from our flooring underlay range to go beneath it. Allow roughly 10% extra on top of your measured area for cutting and waste.
Mid-tone oak can read warmer or cooler depending on the daylight, so see it in your own room first. You can have 3 large free samples.
This product features a Tongue & Groove installation system. It can be floated over an underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor.
