Signature Lacquered Oak 190mm Engineered Plank

Signature Lacquered Oak is the lacquered twin of Signature Brushed & Oiled Oak: the same 190mm Nevada plank, 1900mm long, in a natural oak colour, sealed under a protective lacquer.

Look and character

The colour is a warm natural oak, and the lacquer adds a subtle sheen that makes the tone look slightly richer than an oiled board. Brushing gives the grain a gentle texture beneath the coat, so the floor doesn't look flat or plasticky. Classic grade oak brings small knots and even colour. Where the oiled version feels softer and more matt, this one is smoother and easier to wipe down, which suits kitchens, hallways and homes with young children or pets.

Construction and specification

This is a 14/3mm engineered board: 14mm from face to underside, of which the upper 3mm is real oak. The core is multi-ply, with layers running in opposite directions so the board stays flat through the seasons. Planks measure 190mm wide by 1900mm long, and each pack covers 2.888 m². It is a versatile width that sits comfortably in both small and large rooms. The 4V bevel runs round every edge, adding definition and a slightly more rustic, board-by-board look. Being lacquered, the surface is sealed and low-maintenance: sweep, then clean with a damp, well-wrung mop.

Where it works

Use it through the main rooms of the house: living room, dining room, hallway and bedrooms, plus kitchens and conservatories. The same boards can continue onto the stairs, with stair nosing to finish each step. The middle-of-the-range colour pairs easily with both light and dark furniture.

Fitting and underfloor heating

The boards join with a tongue and groove and can be laid floating over underlay or glued down to a prepared subfloor. If you float it, pick an underlay from our flooring underlay range to go beneath it. It is suitable for underfloor heating. Allow roughly 10% extra on top of your measured area for cutting and waste.
