Signature Brushed & Oiled Oak 190mm Engineered Plank

Signature Brushed & Oiled Oak is a natural, matt-finished engineered plank from our Nevada range. Its 190mm by 1900mm boards are brushed to bring out the grain, then oiled for a soft, tactile surface.

Look and character

This is a relaxed natural oak: warm, mid-toned and free of stain, with the grain given extra depth by brushing. The oil soaks into the wood, leaving a matt surface that feels natural underfoot and allows easy spot repairs over time. Classic grade selection keeps knots small, so the floor looks natural without heavy character. It sits comfortably in modern open-plan spaces and traditional rooms alike, and pairs well with painted kitchens, soft greys and warm whites.

Construction and specification

Each plank is 14mm deep, with a 3mm real oak top layer bonded to the core. Beneath it sits a multi-ply base of cross-laid layers, which resists the swelling and shrinking that solid boards can suffer as heating and humidity change. A 3mm wear surface allows a sand and refinish later on, which a vinyl or laminate floor cannot offer. Planks measure 190mm wide by 1900mm long, and each pack covers 2.888 m². The 4V bevel runs round every edge, adding definition and a slightly more rustic, board-by-board look. An oiled finish soaks into the wood rather than sitting on top, and worn patches can be re-oiled locally instead of refinishing the whole floor.

Where it works

You can run it from the hallway into living and dining rooms, and use it in bedrooms, kitchens and conservatories too. The same boards can continue onto the stairs, with stair nosing to finish each step.

Fitting and underfloor heating

You can glue it down or lay it floating; the tongue and groove edges join each board to the next. Add about 10% to your room size for cuts and waste. Around the edges, scotia beading neatly hides the expansion gap left at the skirting. It is suitable for underfloor heating.
