Ashbourne Glue Down LVT

Look and character

Contrast between planks is part of the appeal here, so this is a floor for someone who likes a varied timber look rather than a consistent single tone. Strong oak-effect grain, dark knots and pale highlights show clearly across the broad planks. Simple finishes such as a muted green kitchen island, timber furniture and light curtains give the mixed browns room to stand out. It feels warmer and more lived-in than a flat grey scheme, and the embossed surface adds texture.

Construction and specification

A 229mm width and 1219.2mm length give broad planks that suit medium and large rooms. Each pack covers 3.9 m², and the calculator on this page turns your room size into packs. A 2.5mm build keeps the finished floor low, so it rarely means trimming doors or raising thresholds. A 0.5mm clear wear layer shields the design underneath from everyday traffic. Fitting and underfloor heating

Every plank is glued to the subfloor, which gives a firm, stable floor that stays put. Most fitters prepare the floor with a smoothing compound first, because glue-down vinyl follows the surface it is stuck to. Allow about 10% extra for cuts and waste when you order. It is suitable for underfloor heating.
