Somerton Glue Down LVT

Somerton has a golden, rustic oak look, with dark knots and long crack-effect markings running along wide Anchor XL glue-down LVT planks. The waterproof vinyl gives you the character without the upkeep of a distressed timber floor.

Look and character

Warm golden-oak tones and flowing grain fill each plank, and the broad format gives the knots and markings space to show. The rustic appearance is printed into the design, not damage to the surface. In a light dining or sitting area with cream walls and natural furniture, simple upholstery lets the grain become a feature. Look at a room photo and a sample together to judge whether this amount of detail suits you. The embossed surface adds texture.

Construction and specification

The overall thickness is 2.5mm. Glue-down vinyl stays close to the subfloor, so it sits neatly against neighbouring floors and under doors. A 0.5mm clear wear layer shields the design underneath from everyday traffic. The durability rating covers both domestic and commercial settings. The XL planks are 229mm wide and 1219.2mm long, wider than a standard plank, so the grain has more room to show. One pack covers 3.9 m². Luxury vinyl like this is waterproof, and gluing it down gives a firm, solid feel underfoot.

Where it works

You can use it through most of the house: living and dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, bathrooms and conservatories. Water sits on the surface rather than soaking in, so wiping up spills is quick. The broad format suits open-plan kitchens and living spaces, giving a generous, uncluttered floor. Fitting and underfloor heating

Every plank is glued to the subfloor, which gives a firm, stable floor that stays put. Good preparation matters: a flat, clean, dry subfloor gives the best result, as the thin vinyl follows whatever is underneath. Order about 10% more than your measured area to cover cuts and waste. It is suitable for underfloor heating.
