Linen Oak Herringbone 12mm Laminate

Linen Oak Herringbone is a soft, light beige parquet-style laminate from our Craft range. Like the fabric it is named after, the colour is gentle and natural, giving a room warmth and a relaxed, understated feel.

Look and character

The tone is a light, creamy beige oak with a quiet grain, warmer than a white or grey oak but still pale and bright. It is an easy colour to build a scheme around, and suits contemporary and classic rooms equally. The small 95mm blocks form a detailed herringbone, giving pattern without heavy contrast. The textured and embossed surface adds grain you can feel, and the bevels outline every block. Pair it with linen and cotton fabrics, soft white and mushroom walls, pale oak and natural stone.

Construction and specification

With a 12mm core, the floor has a sturdy, grounded feel that suits busy family rooms. The blocks measure 95mm by 470mm, a size that gives a well-defined herringbone without looking busy. An AC5 rating tells you the wear surface is made for heavy traffic, well beyond everyday domestic use, so busy areas of the home are no problem. The 4V bevel on every edge makes each block stand out slightly from its neighbours, which adds realism. Packs cover 1.607 m² each, so round up to the next full pack.

Where it works

It is a good fit for hallways, conservatories, dining rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms and bathrooms. For kitchens, a quick wipe after spills keeps the joints in good order. Fitting and underfloor heating

It is a click-fit laminate laid floating: the blocks lock to each other rather than being fixed to the subfloor below. Choose the right underlay for laminate for your subfloor; it evens out minor bumps and cuts down noise. Allow around 10% extra for cuts and waste; a herringbone layout creates more offcuts at the edges of the room.
