Sunset Oak Herringbone 12mm Laminate

Sunset Oak Herringbone glows with warm, golden-brown tones, like oak caught in evening light. From our Craft range, its small 95mm blocks bring a rich, inviting parquet look to classic and modern homes.

Look and character

The colour is a medium golden-brown with beige highlights, warm and glowing rather than dark. In a herringbone, those golden tones catch the light differently on each angle, giving the floor depth and a cosy feel. The textured and embossed surface adds grain underfoot, and the bevelled edges outline every block. It works well with cream and warm white walls, deep greens and blues, terracotta, cane and dark wood furniture, and suits rooms where you want warmth and character.

Construction and specification

Being 12mm thick, each block gives a reassuring, solid step and a calmer sound underfoot compared with thinner laminate. All four edges carry a small 4V bevel, which outlines each block and adds depth to the floor. It carries an AC5 abrasion rating. In plain terms, the surface is tested for heavy wear, so it is well suited to hallways, kitchens and homes with children and pets. At 95mm by 470mm, the blocks are proportioned like traditional parquet. Packs cover 1.607 m² each, so round up to the next full pack.

Where it works

Suitable rooms include conservatories, bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, hallways, dining rooms and bathrooms. Fit felt pads to chair and table legs to protect the surface. Fitting and underfloor heating

It is a click-fit laminate laid floating: the blocks lock to each other rather than being fixed to the subfloor below. Lay it over a suitable flooring underlay, which smooths out small bumps and softens footfall noise. Allow around 10% extra for cuts and waste; a herringbone layout creates more offcuts at the edges of the room.
